Sellers Estate, Harrison Co., IN Marie, I scoured the Harrison Co., IN probate records, hoping to find something on Keturah Leedy's first husband and found nothing. I did find additional information on Daniel B. Sellers' estate which named his minor brother. I'm inclined to think that Keturah's first husband may not have been related to James and Barbary Sellers' family since her children would have been named as heirs to Daniel Sellers. Just a thought. Harrison Co., IN, Probate Order Book, July 1832 Came into open court Jackson Sellers minor heir to the estate of Dan'l B. Sellers and by his motion and by consent of the court Absalom A. Sellers is appointed his Guardian whereupon the said Absalom Sellers with James P. Slaughter his security entered into and acknowledged in open court a Guardian bond in the penal sum of $85. Condition according to law which bond was approved of by the court and that upon so administered to the said Absalom A. Sellers the Oath of Guardian as prescribed by law. Harrison Co., IN Probate Minute Book, August 1832 In the matters of the estate of Daniel B. Sellers dec'd comes into open court James Sellers the executor of the last will and testament of said decedent and filed the receipt of Jackson Sellers, one of the legatees for the sum of $15.25 cents and at the same time paid into open court for the benefit of said Jackson Sellers the sum of $41.75 cents in cash making together the sum of $57.00 which was ordered to be placed to the credit of said Ex'r which leaves a balance in said Ex'r hands of $17.44 cts with which he still stands charged. (note in margin) Feb'y 11, 1833, $14.75 paid unto A. A. Sellers Guard. to Jackson Sellers. Jackson Sellers married Mary Ann McMickle 1 Oct 1835 in Harrison Co., IN and died 1837-1840 leaving a widow and one son, Arthur Sellers. I haven't found an estate on him yet. Jackson's wife remarried to Adam Smith McCarty 30 Aug 1840 in Crawford Co., IN. 1850 Federal Census, Crawford Co., IN Adam S. McCarty, age 49, farmer, born Kentucky Mary An McCarty, age 39, born Harrison Co. Wilson McCarty, age 19, born Pike Co. Arthur Cellars, age 18, born Harrison Co. (his age should be 13) William McCarty, age 8, born Pike Co. Mariah McCarty, age 5, born Crawford Co. James McCarty, age 5, born Crawford Co. Adam and Mary Ann are in the 1860 census, but I can't find Arthur Sellers.
