    1. Re: [SELLERS] Madison Co., IN Mortality Schedule
    2. I'm not really sure how Isaac (1836-1862) fits in to the other Madison Co. Sellers. All of the Isaacs that link to Isaac Sellers and Nancy Brandon are accounted for. This family resided in Richland Twp. in Madison. It's possible this Isaac in the cemetery is the one in the mortality schedule. I'm not sure how that schedule works, if the deaths are only recorded during that one year every ten years or if they keep track of all deaths that happen during the ten year period. The Isaac in the census is always shown as being born around 1843. I don't think I have seen any other Isaacs. He would have certainly shown up in the 1850 and 1860 census. The CW James Sellers could be Isaac Sellers and Nancy Brandon's son since records show they had a son by that name, though I'm not sure if he ever showed up in the census. Something more to look into I guess. What do we know about the CW James Sellers? As for Wallace, haven't anything on him. Jim

    3. JIM, I believe the mortality schedules were only from the last year when the census was taken. This is all I extracted on the James Sellers. James Sellers , Residence: Madison County, Indiana Enlistment Date: 17 November 1864 Distinguished Service: DISTINGUISHED SERVICE Side Served: Union State Served: Indiana Unit Numbers: 566 566 483 Service Record: Enlisted as a Private on 17 November 1864 Enlisted in Company K, 16th Infantry Regiment Indiana on 17 November 1864. Transferred Company K, 16th Infantry Regiment Indiana on 29 June 1865 in New Orleans, LA Transfered in 13th Cavalry Regiment Indiana on 29 June 1865. He could have had a middle name on census or ? I saw one? Pension app for a James Sellers , but C company and wife Julia. May Not be same. marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, October 04, 2006 10:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [SELLERS] Madison Co., IN Mortality Schedule I'm not really sure how Isaac (1836-1862) fits in to the other Madison Co.
