My Great Grandma King(Helen Louise Sellers King) hand copied the obituary from somewhere. In the upper right hand corner she later went back and dated the obituary as 1938 or 1939. It reads as follows: George S. Sellers, aged 75, died April 6th at his home near Clarkbridge, MO. Sellers was borned at Des Moines, Iowa, March 8th, 1864. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War; served as Corporal in Co. I 6th MO Inf. His wife and five children survive him. He was a member of Wm. R Kendrich Camp No. 13, U.S.W.V. of Ca_ter who had charde of the funeral service. Burial was at Thacker Cemetery on North Pigeon Creek. Full Military honors were rendered at the grave. She also had an obit for Wilbert Sellers son of Leonard Sellers it reads as follows: BREESE - Wilbert W. Sellers, 92, of Breese, died today at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. Mr. Sellers was born in Sandoval, the son of Leonard and Etta McGee Sellers. He married Cecelia Hoerchler who preceded him in death in February, 1961. He then married Ione Crane in Vandalia in December, 1961. She survives. Also surviving are a stepson, Richard Clark of West Alton, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ilges of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs Henrietta Furdek of St. Louis, and Mrs. Wilma Berndsen and Mrs. Ruth Winter, both of Breese; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Interment will follow at St. Dominic's Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. tomorrow. These two obits are where I got any information from on these individuals. My great grandma had told me that her grandpa Henry died on his birthday and she had a death date of 28 Mar 1919. From census records I determined that his DOB should be 28 Mar 1835.
