SHERRY, thanks. Yes, I believe the Samuel and Isaac deaths in the bible are their kids. The bible marriage date is Jan 5, 1811. Ohio marriage in Fairfield is Jan 1812. first kid born 1813 and John Jr born 1822 OHIO. PERRY was made from Fairfield and we could be there in 1804/1806. We just have tax lists. Henry was earliest in 1804/memory. 1812 Fairfield = John and Jacob Sellers Isaac married 1816 and John married 1812 Fairfield 1818 Perry was made from part of this land. 1820 Perry = Henry, John, Isaac Sellers on census, also a David here in 1815 township records 1818 ISAAC SELLERS born 1769 dies in Perry Co. He and John 1775 should be on an 1800 census if in PA, if in OH we only have minutes and tax lists. So , they may be in OH! John was 36 when married to Margaret McMullen. Will look for the other Alvah name. Isaac b. 1823 and Samuel b. 1828. Sorry, I did not check the last page of the Bible that you posted, so you may already know that. From the ancestry entries, no one seems to have the Bible record of John's birth/death. Some show John and Margaret m. 1812 Fairfield Co. Ohio, then show John Jr. b. also 1812 in PA. Does not make sense unless he was born before they married. All other children b. Perry Co. OH. Found another early Alvah--no obvious connection s/o Jacob Sellers and Barbara Pile/Pyle of PA . Jacob is German. Since Alvah is a somewhat unusual name MAYBE there is a connection.
