    3. CARL, thanks and Best wishes to your searching in 2007. Thanks for the history. This is Always Very Important = where that land laid and was made from. Same area, diff name. It is a good idea to send a review/=Name/Date/Place thro the SELLERS group a couple times a year and ALWAYS when you find a new document, info. marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: ksellers [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, January 04, 2007 9:36 PM To: Marie Hollinger Subject: Huntingdon Co, PA Marie - I was browsing some old Sellers list email (1999) where you asked if any Sellers were found in Huntingdon Co. My G-g-grandmother Margaret Sellers moved there with her children in 1835. Her husband was George W Sellers who died in Middletown, Dauphin Co., PA abt 1834. Margaret is listed in census data as head of household in the 1840 census for Huntingdon Co., and in subsequent censi in Blair Co. which was formed from parts of Huntingdon and Bedford Co.'s in 1846, There was a canal which began near Middletown and crossed the state ending at Pittsburgh. On its way, it went through Hollidaysburg which is where Margaret and family lived. It would have been the most likely way she and all the children made the trip. In those days, it would have been a harrowing journey by land since there were still bands of hostile Indians roaming the countryside in that part of the state. Happy New Year. Carl Sellers
