I looked at the 1840 Sampson County, North Carolina census and there is a James? Sellers which is indexed as Jane Sellers living next door to Daniel Merritt. This Daniel Merritt is 70 and under 80 years (1761-1770)of age with only a female 50 to 59 years of age . This James Sellers is 40 and under 50 (1791-1800) with a wife 30 and under 40 ( 1801-1810). They have 2 sons under age 5, 2 sons under 15, and 1 son 15 and under 20. There are many Merritts on this same page. Georgia
