LINDA, thanks. Very helpful, as you have already checked ages, etc. I did NOT find another pension file listed, except the notation below. (usually you do) Have you tried to order one? I would try NARA, but, its possible NC archives would have, but, I think that is where it was NOT listed?? You rec'd a lot of good info today, I hope it helps all of us by sharing. Will study and If I see anything, will advise. Thanks for sharing SELLERS. marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of linda peacock Sent: Sunday, May 27, 2007 4:51 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [SELLERS]Margaret Minerva Sellers of Sellers Family from NC, TN & MS, with a brief period in MO - update - Jane Thompson was MM Sellers´s mother Marie, Thank you. That is the same Nathan Thompson but I have not found a pension file. I have all of the children and almost all of the marriages (but not Jane´s marriage!) from the Buchanan bible records. Nathan Thompson md. Esther Black in Lincoln Co. NC 19 Aug 1785, bondsman William Killen = Killian, minister John Moore In 1800 Nathan Thompson was in Rutherford NC - there are 2 Nathan Thompsons in Rutherford NC in 1800: one has family 2-1-3 and one has family 1-1-3 (this would be the family) In 1810 Nathan Thompson was in Buncombe NC In 1810 Nathan Thomson was in Haywood NC In 1820 there is a Nathan Thomson in Robeson NC but I don´t think that is may Nathan In 1830 Nathan Thompson is in Haywood NC In 1840 Nathan is in Macon NC Do you want names of all of the children and their spouses? Now that James Sellers living in the same neighbourhood as Nathan Thompson in 1830 looks very interesting! I am not sure of the exact date of birth of Margaret Minerva Sellers - in the censuses her age variation would indicate that she was b. 1824-1828. If she was b. 1824 the data would fit. The boy under age 5 would be brother John W Sellers and there was another boy age 5-10 (I don´t know of other siblings but have always considered that possible). The ages of James and his wife would fit. So that looks like a great possibility. I have not been able to find a family that fits in the 1840 census, neither in NC or TN. I also looked in MO and MS. Rute E. Sellers was b. 27 Sep 1839 in Rutherford Co. NC. In 1850, Jane is alone. It is possible that Mr. Sellers died before the 1840 census and Jane was living with a relative? Thank you so much! I think we need to find out more about this James Sellers. I have been searching for the parents of MM Sellers and oddly enough, have identified MM Sellers´s mother, but still do not know who her father was. Besides the above link, I have also given census data etc., which can be found by searching for my name (Linda Peacock) in the mailing list archives.
