I think it was back in January. Sorry I didn't reply back at the time. I remember when I was helping you with James Sellers too. I know I think he belongs to the Robert Sellers Sr line, but once the two different Sellers groups, the German ones out of Lincoln and Rutherford Co., NC and the Sellers lines out of Burke, via Mecklenburg, via Where?, both ended up in Haywood/Macon and those other far western NC counties before taking off to new frontiers, I still have a hard time definitively identifying who's who. But I do think your James is a grandson of Robert Sellers, Sr, but still not sure of the exact connection. One day, I tell myself, if I keep working on researching... And I do agree with you on Ancestry.com's search engine capabilities. Totally frustrating. It use to be much better. Last year when I renewed I did complain to the sales rep who called. He told me that happens with all the new information they keep adding. Perhaps they need to spend a little money and upgrade the search engine so it doesn't keep giving you such a broad array of useless information. Such as do a search for Cellars and you get Clark!! Not to mention the bizarre mispelling on the indexing that when you look at the actual census couldn't possibly have been read that way. Such as, how could a bunch of men on one census with the given name Andrew have really been written as Amanadrew, etc? I went through the whole 1870 Mitchell Co NC census last night (whoa, lengthy!) and can say the Sellers group wasn't there in 1870. Maybe I'll have the energy to tackle Yancey. I know Winny is back in McDowell living with Adin, and her daughter, Elvira Sellers English, but we're looking for Joseph "Joe" and his wife M. Elvira and their family in 1870. I think the son Josiah "Joe" is in McDowell living with Eleson and Margaret Wiseman, and there is a Lucy and Mary, both age 45, but where are the rest of them? I am just hoping this search doesn't expand into those east Tennessee counties too. That might take some time...Yikes!
