There is a John R. Sellers in the 1930 Gibson Co., TN census as a son of J.W. & Nannie Sellers. It shows that this John R. Sellers was born in 1902, TN and both parents born in TN. This might be a better fit for the 1930 Memphis, Shelby Co., TN Census: There is a "Roger" Sellers, son, 17, (b. abt. 1913) born in Mississippi as both his parents, living with only a mother named Kate, 40 & having marr. at age 18. There are twins, Claude & Maude, both 19, Etleburt, son, 14; Billie, son, 11; and Sarah, daughter, 6. All the children were born in Miss. except Sarah and Billie and they were born in TN giving an approximate date of arriving in TN of about 1919. This same family is in the 1920 Greenwood, Leflore Co., Mississippi Census as follows: William A. Sellers, 43, carpenter, b. in Miss. & both parents b. in Miss. Kate, 30, wife, b. Miss., Miss., Miss. Claude, 9, son, b. " " " Maude, 9, dau., b. " " " Roger, 7, son, b. " " " Robert, 4 4/12, son, " " " William,9/12, son, " " " Maybe this will give you something to go on. If your John Roger Sellers has a TX Death Certificate, maybe you'll find a match to these folks above.
