Hello all, I am hoping to find, Kevin Sellers (who has posted on the Sellers list previously), grandson of Charlie Sellers, b. MO or OK 22 May 1903 and d. 31 Jul 1953 OK and Carol grdaughter (who has posted more recently) of Walter Orville Sellers b. 25 Jun 1895 MO and d. OR (?). Am hoping that we can line up a Y-DNA test from this Sellers line I´d be willing to pay for a 12 marker test. This is the best I can do as to tracking down someone who represents my Sellers line as I can´t seem to get a hold on any other contemporary male Sellers´from my line, though one would think there were more. The line is: James Sellers (thought to be son of John Sellers + Margaret UNK, NC) b. abt 1796 Haywood CO., NC + Jane Thompson b. 1797 Rutherford Co. NC > Nathan B. Sellers 1821; Margaret Minerva Sellers 1825; John W. Sellers 1828; James Manson Sellers 1831; Justiana Sellers abt. 1835 and Ruth E. 1839 (all b. NC). All male line have dead ended as to what I could find, around 1910 or so and only family members, seeking anyone from this line, as far as I can see, are Carol and Kevin. Their line continues: James Manson Sellers 1831 NC + 2nd wife, Mary Ellen Anderson 1835 TN (cannot track the males of 1st marriage) > Nathan Elmore Sellers 1865 TN + Lurana Snowden 1864 (IL from census and parents from TN) > Walter Orville Sellers 25 Jun 1895 McDonald Co., MO; Albert Sellers 1899 McDonald Co. MO & Charles Sellers 22 May 1903 (MO according to census though other data says OK). Nathan Elmore Sellers, Lurana Snowden Sellers and Charles Sellers and Charles´s son Kevin are all said to have been bd. Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, Blackwell, Kay Co., TN. Have more info on these families at http://www.sellers-sellars-zellars.net/lindapeacock.htm . Incidentally, have seen messages about not being able to find Nathan Elmore Sellers and family in the 1920 census. Well, can see why as Nathan is listed as Max Sellers (and that´s what is written on the census form): 1920 Ottowa Co. OK Census Max Sellers age 59 (?) TN NC TN; Lurana age 51 (?) IL TN TN (IN?); Albert age 20 MO; Mary age 18 MO; Charlie age 16 MO and Laura age 14? MO. This is surely Nathan Elmore Sellers and family. Linda
