My paternal grandfather was Bernard J. Brookhyer, and he was married to Armintha Sillars. They lived in Wisconsin near Mosinee. Although I think your family with Hugh is not the same as mine, they might have had common relatives in Scotland, on the Sillars side. I now live in Sacramento, CA and have made some headway in the Scottish heritage, but have not had time to do much lately.
