Until now I did not have anything much. Deppie Pitman was my great grandmother (Pinks daughter) she died before I was born so I did not know her. Wish I could learn more about Pink. I know my grandmother told me the story about her mother being given to the Norman family to raise by Pink and Susan, the story always puzzled me with many more questions than answers. I am very nerves this morning while I write out these few lines. I am at your Aunt Nancy Selers now but I expect to leave some of these days as I don't stay long in a place. I was glad to hear that Charlie and you were together and I hope you may always stay near each other as there is only two of you. I have not been in the valley for more than two years. I don't know when I will get out now only in the hollow days I am still around and about from one place to another among the sick and afflicted. I will as long as I can and when done I too meet my friend in heaven. I am a going to be about Lewistown this winter if I live till spring. I want to help your Aunt Nancy to move. They are going on a farm in the spring as the old home stead is a going to be sold in the spring. Eliza is at home now she came in from Utah. She has two children a boy and girl. Note to all -- A historical perspective shows that the Moravians migrated from PA to western NC. That would account for the German/Dutch(Deutch?) connection there. Further East, the Sellers clans emigrated from Scotland and, over time, migrated along the PeeDee River into the southeastern area of NC. Marie and Carole: I admit I am still confused about the two separate Sellers family groups who took similar paths wet into the counties of Haywood/Macon, and the other counties they spanned in the western end of North Carolina. But I still don't think the German speaking Sellers out of Lincoln Co., NC were related to the line of Robert Sellers, Sr who was in Mecklenburg, then Burke Co., NC.
