What did your "D" stand for? The context suggest "Davidson", but who knows? "Allen" is not the normal spelling for a first name, but it appears in my line: I have an uncle with the name, too, but obviously in honor of this same ancestor. You also have "Allan", another unusual rendering. Any history that there you know of? I would say that this CW Sellers is not the son of Almon L. and Prudence Robbins Sellers. They did have a son born in FL - name Christopher (Kit) Columbus. But this CW below is not the correct age in 1860 to be CC Sellers. Second of all, the spouse and children do not match up to CC's spouse and children. Third, Almon's family lived in Coryell County Texas in 1860, not Wise County. ROGER, thanks. START with your PROVEN SELLERS and work backwards with proven documents = CENSUS/MARRIAGES/BIRTH PLACES and DATES of KIDS. DO A TIME CHART ON any KNOWN info. AND Where are your OBITS AND burials on these families?? YOU can use other charts to Follow your family = NOT prove it!! IF your AUNT states 1880 or 1900? which? are the brothers and sisters = my goodness sake , probably correct and USE it and GO to that county and the previous families.? marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: R S [mailto:n5eea@InsightBB.com] Sent: Tuesday, September 02, 2003 12:52 AM To: 'Marie Sellers-Hollinger' Subject: RE: [SELLERS] Re: Wm H Sellers/PHELPS CO, MO Hi Marie, We think we're drawing much closer now thanks to help from you and others. Sellers born 3/4/1890 in Phelps Co., Mo. Their son William harvey born 4/10/1901 should be my grandfather. I think one of Minyard Sellers' son's had 2 Wm.'s. William Carrol and William. But I may be incorrect. -----Original Message----- From: Marie Sellers-Hollinger [mailto:mari@netins.net] Sent: Friday, August 29, 2003 22:20 To: SELLERS-L@rootsweb.com; n5eea@InsightBB.com Subject: RE: [SELLERS] Re: Wm H Sellers LORELEE, thank you for caring. IT does NOT appear to be the family Roger has sent info on. BUT, I believe ROGER needs to PROVE his families and kids. WITH names and ages and places. YOUR family is in 1900 CRAWFORD CO, MO and his in 1900 PHELPS CO, MO, THESE counties lay Next and made from same Earlier land. YOUR WM 1862 AND EMMA SELLERS had son WM born may, 1890. did they have another son WM ? Someone had Two WM'S . one with middle initial. Same family. GEORGIA has sent all kinds of census/marriages, etc to help. PERHAPS we can make a time line from same? ALSO, WHERE did ALL these kids from 1900 PHELPS CO, MO go to = would be granddads kids? ROGER, WORK on info sent to you and advise what you can. Otherwise, can't prove, Unless we know brother/sister. Aunt and Uncle are who = Thanks, marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: Frank & Lorelee [mailto:flden@crestviewcable.com] Sent: Friday, August 29, 2003 1:27 AM To: SELLERS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [SELLERS] Re: Wm H Sellers I am glad Roger got in touch with all of you. In my line I also have a Wm H Sellers married to an Emma Copeland. I have Wm. the son of Minyard Franklin and Polly Harvey Turnbough. This may not be a connection to Roger and the middle initial H may be for Harvey Polly's maiden name. It is so nice to have this list to help us through the prolific Sellers. Thank you for the advice I am new at this and It sure can get confusing. I have found no info on a Sib Sellers and allmost all the info on Alen Sellers matches so I am beginning to think the rest of the family is confused unless Sib is a nickname. Melanie
yes i found that cencusbut before that it is as if they don't exist. I have been told that in order to get a death cert in ok you have to prove relation and I have no way to do that since there is no Bc on record for my Grandmother. Plus I have other relatives that say Jefferson Davidson's father was Sib Sellers. I am in a state of confusion most of the time on this one Melanie
