Perhaps you will remember the following from my query and responses from Hermon and Marie shown below. I cannot remember if I sent you the information on Enos' marriage to Rebecca Duncan, Lancaster County in 1772? If you would like any more info on our line of McDonald's, please drop me a line with your mailing address. Also, I have an informal compilation of all of our McDonalds, Logans, Brownlees and Dicksons, that contains an account of our McDonald line beginning with Enos and would be happy to copy it and send it to you. My brick wall is where exactly Enos was born, and why do no sibs or parents show up? He was able to buy property and marry so I am in the dark as to how he earned the money in those early years. I also do not have any clue as to the dates of death for Enos and Rebecca, or where they died. Our family history only says that Enos died after 1800. His son Daniel moved to Butler County, OH and married Catherine Logan (daughter of Patrick Logan; she was born in PA) in 1807. So the mystery keeps me hunting! Let me know if you would like my info. ________________________________________________________________________ McDonald=McDaniel Date: Sat, 18 May 2002 09:25:11 -0400 From: HERMON B FAGLEY <hermfagley@juno.com> To: Silvadv1@aol.com, sherrymazzetti1@prodigy.net, mari@netins.net, OHUD@aol.com, MaeMay510@aol.com, davidvi@uslink.net, arbowling11@yahoo.com Sherrymazzetti1@prodigy.net follows McDonald's and McDaniel's. I also exchange info with Don MacDaniel, I believe that he has posted at times on your list. His ancestor, another Enos McDonald, lived in KY is the one you are following. It seems that both his Enos and mine, lived in PA, about the same time, just to make things interesting. I believe that Don's Enos, lived in another county. My Enos was born about 1750 in Scotland, according to my G GFather's family history account of the McDonalds, Logans, Dicksons and Brownlees. He immigrated to PA and married Rebecca Duncan (according to marriage records) in November 1772, in Middle Octoraro, Lancaster County, PA. They settled in Nottingham Twp., on Mingo Creek (about 400 acres), in Washington County, PA and lived there until after 1803, when they removed to Butler Co., Ohio. Their children were: Daniel, Leah and Rachel. Daniel, my GGG GF, married Catherine Logan, in 1807 in Butler Co., OH. She was the daughter of Patrick Logan and Nancy Sally Harper of PA. Their son THomas McDonald was my GG GF, who married Elizabeth Dickson; their son Daniel, writer of the referenced historical account and "A History of Marshall Co., Indiana, 1836-1888", was my G GF. Hope this gives you some additional comparative data. I have been unable to establish when and where my GGGG GF & GM, Enos and Rebecca, died and are buried. Any info that may apply to my McDonalds, would be deeply appreciated. Mary

I am in the Phelps Co. Sellers that spreads from PA/KY/IN/MO. I found a message relating to Chambers-Sellers and got a response from Amanda Swatling. She is in the Chambers line and not really studying Sellers. She had names and some dates for Eliza Ann Chambers being married to James nelson Sellers. The names and birth dates of their children, name of man Eliza married after James Nelson died and children by the new husband. She confirmed my information on James Nelson being born in Putnam Co, In and died in Rolla, Mo. The names she had for children match what I had plus matched the census names and dates. James nelson has been my shaky link. I think it is now solid. Names/Dates from my aunt's family bible go back to James Nelson and Eliza but did not call him James nelson, only refered to as James and Eliza. She had a photo of them. If traced the PA Sellers lines and figured where my line fits in the klan from Nathaniel David now to me. At this point, I pretty much feel comfortable with the data and scrutiny of such. My only missing link is to my grandfather. We have no idea when/where he died. We think in California, possibly San Francisco area. No real contact with him since he left the family back in the 40's. SSI possibilities in ca. are a bust so far. His name was William Harvey Cornelius Sellers Jr. Most likely did not use Cornelius or Jr in common name. Any info on his burial location would settle LOTS of questions. But I'll take one issue at a time. My best to you and others in the Sellers list that helped me work through this. Many thanks to all. All of the Allen' should be spelled like this except My Great GreatGreat grandfather Allen's Son Alen Sedora( this is how it is spelled in the bible at my grandmother However from exp my family are not very good spellers so it could still be Allen) The "d" either stands for Davidson or Davison, two differant bibles spell it two differant ways. 1850 Newton County, Mississippi has a Mary Sellers and a Matthew Sellers (the M. K. Sellers in 1840?) Ancestry does not have it where you can view the image through the index yet. It said they were in unknown townships. Someone researching this family needs to go through the entire county and hopefully report back to us the results. K. Sellers 1 male 20 and under 30 years 1 female 20 and under 30 years next is William Spradley next is Hiram McCarty next is A. S. Sellers 1 male 15 and under 20 (born 1821-1825) no others listed in the household The two households before Mary Sellers are Elias Goodson and Hiram Chambers I have that Allen Sedora probably married about 1844. Someone need to go in and look household by household for these Sellers in 1850 Newton County, Mississippi. The Search engine is not picking them up for me. We also need to see what Sellers are in this county in 1830 to see who Mary Sellers was married to. I'll try to do that. Georgia
