Before sending it off anywhere, could you transcribe the data for us? I seriously doubt it will affect me at all, my SELLERS line goes back four generations and simply ends. But there may be someone out there who could use the information but who is not the "rightful" owner or directly in the line. BEV, (collectiholic) you did it! and you worked at it! I believe you/us will probably hear from this party within a week or two. didn't they say they would mail the letters to them after the sale/paid of the article? OR do we have to request for them to send? OR are you thinking of sending here so you don't have two shipping charges? you could add ANY charges you have on to selling/sending them the bible. IT could just go to you and you ship out to whoever/SELLERS that buys it? advise your feelings. marie, iowa marie sellers holligner 12871 285th street mason city, iowa 5040l-9118 Item ID # 776418 The auction has ended High bidder collectiholic Complete Bid History (All Bids) Bidder Bid Amount High Bidder Item Price Time of bid collectiholic $104.00 collectiholic $104.00 1/29/2004 12:16:37 PM lhadfield $103.00 lhadfield $101.00 1/28/2004 6:03:38 PM lhadfield $89.00 collectiholic $90.00 1/28/2004 6:03:13 PM collectiholic $100.00 collectiholic $82.00 1/28/2004 3:05:19 PM collectiholic $80.00 lhadfield $81.00 1/28/2004 3:03:46 PM lhadfield $81.00 lhadfield $77.00 1/28/2004 1:03:35 PM collectiholic $76.00 collectiholic $76.00 1/25/2004 3:26:50 PM lhadfield $75.00 lhadfield $56.00 1/25/2004 12:37:29 PM lhadfield $48.00 collectiholic $49.00 1/25/2004 12:37:04 PM lhadfield $35.00 collectiholic $36.00 1/25/2004 12:36:24 PM collectiholic $55.00 collectiholic $29.00 1/25/2004 1:05:39 AM lhadfield $28.00 lhadfield $26.00 1/24/2004 7:18:56 PM lhadfield $25.00 collectiholic $25.00 1/24/2004 7:18:31 PM lhadfield $20.00 collectiholic $21.00 1/24/2004 7:18:05 PM collectiholic $25.00 collectiholic $16.00 1/24/2004 12:22:24 PM lhadfield $15.00 lhadfield $12.00 1/23/2004 10:06:54 AM winter2004 $11.00 winter2004 $11.00 1/23/2004 10:02:18 AM winter2004 $9.00 lhadfield $10.00 1/23/2004 10:01:44 AM lhadfield $10.00 lhadfield $8.00 1/23/2004 9:58:58 AM winter2004 $7.00 winter2004 $7.00 1/23/2004 6:26:08 AM winter2004 $5.00 boutiqueshopper $6.00 1/23/2004 6:25:32 AM boutiqueshopper $6.00 boutiqueshopper $4.00 1/22/2004 6:08:46 PM pegs $3.00 pegs $3.00 1/22/2004 3:01:09 PM ============= -----Original Message----- From: BEVERLY TAYLOR [mailto:bevt@olypen.com] Sent: Thursday, January 29, 2004 2:51 PM To: SELLERS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [SELLERS] Re: Sellers Bible Marie, I decided to win the Bible and not take a chance. I have searched on the internet records( i.e. census, cemetary, marriage, death, land deeds) for North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennesse and some in Georgia and Kentucky. I have not been able to find out any other information on any of the Sellers in this group. I plan to write to Mitchell County Clerk of Court (which is my home town) to see if they have a death certificate for Deppie Jane Sellers Pitman perhaps they may have a death certificate for Pink Sellers as well and hopefully that will provide some clues. As for marriage records, so far I have searched in all the above states for each person of the Sellers family and have not uncovered anything yet. North Carolina did not require marriage license in the early years and this may be why I have not found out anything yet. My grandmother Nellie Pitman daughter of Deppie has been deceased now for about 15-20 years and I unfortunately, before her passing I did not ask her for much information. Mitchell County used to be part of Burke County, which was at one time was part of Rutherford County. Alot of the early records for Burke County were destroyed in a fire. I found Elijah Sellers name listed in the 1810 census for Rutherford County. I found in early Burke County marriages Betsey Sellars married William Clark 4-07-1821 and John Sellers was the witness. Hattie Sellers - I did find one listed in Fulton, Kentucky as married to Royce Riddick in West Memphis Arkansas (this information came from TN GENWEB Crocke County Newspaper). Children were Mrs. T. Warren Garrett of Murfressboro, TN, and Mary Sue & Gladys Riddick of Atlanta, GA. In the 1850 census for Rutherford County I found. Felix Sellers Mary Sellers Phillip Sellers William Sellers M-432, 625 pgs. 183, 184, 176 No Twp listed In Rutherford County Deeds I found: Grantor Grantee Type Deed# Year Huddleston, William to Issac Sellers/Gift/6-Apr/138/1797 Carson, John to Michal Sellers/ 25/34/1809 So far this is all I have uncovered. I would like to keep in touch with each other so that perhaps we can exchange information. I can give you the childrens names of Mack and Deppie Pitman if you would like. I am not a member of any of the websites that offer access to the census images/records, so what information that I have found has been done by searching for many many hours and many websites to obtain this information. Thanks, Deena
Marie, I have just been outbid by lhadfield for $100.00. I can only believe that this must be a Sellers as no old Bible could possibly be worth that much to a stranger or reseller in it's condition. I await your advisement. Bev in WA
EVELYN, thanks. We probably could use some more marriages here. maybe ask for a lookup on genweb pages. GEORGIA sent us/you census, which may help. We show one in Lincoln Co = SELLERS Alfred B. Baker, Sarah 6-14-1845 75598 but, no bondsman, etc. Possibly dau of Mary Sellers 1846. Don't know if our SELLERS have proved him as a son of George Sellers and Ann FRONABARGER or not. They did have a son this age. Did he have a death record or obit, would be the best source. Thank you for sharing. marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: Walddo2u@aol.com [mailto:Walddo2u@aol.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 9:26 AM To: mari@netins.net Subject: Re: SELLERS/LINHARTS/PANOLA CO, MS/GASTON/LINCOLN CO, NC Marie, I don't have any other census info on them, I think Alford was married before he married Tabitha Neal, and had a daug named Mary, buried in Gaston N.C,. Tabitha Neal was the daug of John Neal, and I was told she had a sister married to a Delinger/Dilenger, who also moved to Ms., and they are somehow connected to the Eaker family, maybe another sister married a Eaker? I have no records for Sellers, or Linhart's, most of what I have came from my Mom's Linhart cousin in Mo., who has passed away, as has my Mother, so most of the info I have is not documented, just things they knew, or was told about the family. My Mom said her mother told her that her mother died of Meningitis, when she was pretty young. and is buried in Plasant Grove Ms. i know so little about these two lines Alford Sellers/Tabitha Neal and Jake Linhart/Sallie Sellers, but will help any way I can. Marie and all, Has the connection ever been made between Ignatius Sollers of Ross Co., OH and Ignatius Sollers of Vermillion Co., IN? Although the following information is on our Sellers website under both Vermillion and Ross, but unless I missed it, the phrase "In 1828 he sold his farm in the Township of Deerfield and left Ross Co., OH for Eugene, Vermillion Co.
