I think Jr. & Sr. is related. I have a 1900 census report from Jefferson County, Al that has a Henry Sellars born in SC age 58 and Elizabeth Sellars born in Al. age 58 with a son Vester age 17 born in Al. I think this is my Great-Grandfather. His name was Sylvester or S V Sellers. I know the census has the spelling different. He married Ollie Meeks in 1905. They had three children John Frank, Bertha Mae (my Grandmother), and Evans B. 1906, 1907, and 1917. Ollie died Dec. 1921 and is buried at Elmwood Cemetery Block 20, in Jefferson County. She is buried with Vaughns (do not know why). Sylvester remarried after Ollie died but I have not been able to find out to whom. I beleive he died in 1947 but have not found his grave site. If you have any other info I would be gld to have all you can find. Thank you. Patricia

    3. Hi, I received this email but I am not Susan. I can tell you that the Emanuel Sellers of this posting was b. 1795 so he is probably not the one you are looking for. However, he did have a son a named Emanuel Henry Sellers b. ca 1842. Maybe this is the one you are looking for. If so then this Emanuel would be his father. I was in Birmingham a couple of months ago and went to the library and copied some civil war docs on my ancestor Emanuel's son Alison and also got the pension papers on Emanuel Henry Sellers. I have not scanned them to my computer yet and Susan may already have them. If she does not respond or doesn't have them let me know and I will send them to you. A quick look at the 1900 Al Census shows Henry Sellers b. ca 1842 and Elizabeth (Mary Elizabeth Hollingsworth was Emanuel's wife) with son Vester age 17 b. June 1882 in the household so this could possibly be your family. 3. Hi, The Emanuel you list here is the brother of Gurley Sellers. I have researched both families extensively and have seen several civil war documents on the family. So I don't know if I have the ones you were able to copy and would appreciate a copy of them when you are able to do so. Susan and I correspond and have shared out research so I know she would like to have copies as well which I can send to her at that time. Thanks in advance! I believe that the Jennie Sellers who married Thomas M. Dobbs in Hunt County, Texas is this same Jennie Dobbs, and that T. M. Dobbs is Thomas M. Dobbs. The problem is that an obit for Jennie and Thomas M Dobbs cannot be found. WE need sources of Proof on many of our families and WE appreciate your questions. I am sending thro our SELLERS group = THEY are more informed/documented. I collect the info/documents they send and share with families connected that Share their families with us. I do see ONE place this MARY PRICE is listed = John HALL married 1st Mary Price, 14 Aug 1757 in Baltimore Co, MD. children by second wife Elizabeth Williamson I/WE do NOT have copy of this document. NEED AND after that, WE need to Prove if Same JOHN HALL! WHICH child do YOU connect to and where did they go, etc. THIS is very important for tracing/proving families. PLEASE SHARE and Thank You for Caring to document. marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: Walter Hall [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, November 04, 2006 3:11 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Hall Family Marie, Ran across your information on Hall Family and have several questions. The article stated that John Hall (1740 - 1808) of Burke Co., NC was married to the following women: 1. Elizabeth Ann Rochester 2. Mary Price 3. Fenwell Shanks My own research shows where a John Hall did mary Elizabeth Rochester in Maryland, but I believe the above John married a Williams. I never found where my John (above) married a Mary Price. We do agree on his marrying Fenwell Shanks. Oh yes, it seems John's first wife, whoever she might have been, was the mother to his children. And finally, this John seems to have been the son of Joshua Hall and Ann Spicer of Baltimore. I look forward to hearing from you with whatever clarification you can give.
