    3. CARL, thanks and Best wishes to your searching in 2007. Thanks for the history. This is Always Very Important = where that land laid and was made from. Same area, diff name. It is a good idea to send a review/=Name/Date/Place thro the SELLERS group a couple times a year and ALWAYS when you find a new document, info. marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: ksellers [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, January 04, 2007 9:36 PM To: Marie Hollinger Subject: Huntingdon Co, PA Marie - I was browsing some old Sellers list email (1999) where you asked if any Sellers were found in Huntingdon Co. My G-g-grandmother Margaret Sellers moved there with her children in 1835. Her husband was George W Sellers who died in Middletown, Dauphin Co., PA abt 1834. Margaret is listed in census data as head of household in the 1840 census for Huntingdon Co., and in subsequent censi in Blair Co. which was formed from parts of Huntingdon and Bedford Co.'s in 1846, There was a canal which began near Middletown and crossed the state ending at Pittsburgh. On its way, it went through Hollidaysburg which is where Margaret and family lived. It would have been the most likely way she and all the children made the trip. In those days, it would have been a harrowing journey by land since there were still bands of hostile Indians roaming the countryside in that part of the state. Happy New Year. Carl Sellers

Her home was at 502 Vine Street. "Born in Jefferson County, Tennessee, December 3, 1873, Mrs. Maston spent most of her life here. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Maston died April 18, 1934. "Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nora Donaldson, at home; two sons, C. H. Maston of Indianapolis and T. B. Maston of Ft. Worth, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. J. L. Sparland: 105-106: SOLLARS, Ignatius, 43, M.W. Laborer, $300, $100, OH (b. 1827) SOLLARS, Stacie A. 48, F.W. Keeping house, OH (b. 1822) CLARK, Chauncey, 9, M.W. IL (b, 1861) NOTE: Census index has her incorrectly as "Marie A." NOTE: In the 1850 Census, Ignatius Sollars age 25, b. OH and Stacey Ann Sollars, age 30, b. OH, are found in the home of James Sollars 54, widower, and father of Ignatius Sollars. I had assumed that Stacey was an elder sister of Ignatius, and such may perhaps be the case, with her having married a Clark, had son Chauncey and divorced him taking back her maiden name, and went to live with her brother Ignatius... or it may be that Ignatius and Stacie A. are and were husband and wife even back in 1850, and that Chauncey Clark was an orphan boy they took in since they never had children of their own. The 1850 & 1870 Census ever showed relationship to head of family in a household. ------------------------------------------------ 1870 INDEX reads as follows: Sollars, Ignatius Birthplace: Ohio State: Illinois Age: 43 County: Marshall Gender: Male Township: Sparland Race: White Post Office: Sparland Year: 1870 Roll: M593_254 Page: 472 Image: 406 ------------------------------------------------ Sollars, Marie A (the index transcriber errored here as her name reads as "Stacie A. Marie, I don't think I have shared this block of data on Ignatius Sollars of West Virginia, namesake of my 2nd great-grandfather Ignatius Sollars (c1769-1833) Perhaps you can get it entered with my email address as well incase anyone might want to get in touch with me and exchange data. <[email protected]> Ignatius Sollars was in Allegany Co., Maryland where he met and married Mary Ravenscraft 19 Sep 1862. Was Ignatius Sollars in the Civil War. The 1850 Census lists him in the home of James Sollars in Ohio showing he was born in 1825. A land purchase of 4+ acres and this possible marriage is all that has been found on him. Was he in the Union Army when he met and married Mary Ravenscraft? This marriage was found on a fiche (Page 7, 193) in the LDS Library. The name is spelled: JQUATIUS SOLLERS. It is easy to see how the written name of "Ignatius" could appear to be "Jquatius" to the person copying the original record. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Wm. Thank you so much. I have been tracking Wilders David Jones, son on Thomas Peart Jones, husband of Jennie Sollars. She was a widow in 1900, so sometime between 1894 and 1900 he died. Do you have anything more about him? Their son and Mary and Jennie are also on 1910 census. 1920 and 1930 they are in Marietta, Ohio, but without Mary Sollars. Jennie B. Jones, 16 June 1864-6 April 1938 is buried at the Valley Cemetery, Reno, Washington county, Ohio. This was shared with me yesterday...No husband, Homer. I haven't found Mary Sollars as of yet. Or Ignacious Sollars. I am sending for death cert for Albert Sollars who died in Athens Co., OH. I have already sent for some Sollars death cert. but not here yet. And I don't know if I have the correct ones ordered. But I will share what comes. Mary Sollars had so many children, some alive in 1900 but missing.....wonder where they are..wih the 1890 census missing....they must be lost. 3. ROBERT, thanks and best wishes for the holidays. will send thru SELLERS group and post to some of our county/state pages on this SOLLARS family in OH/IL/IN. Sometimes, it helps elimate family names. I can not find/prove this JAMES SOLLARS 1796 VA (MD ?) I don't have enough info on these connections from VA to OHIO. There was a James Sollars in 1840 Calvert CO, MD = do you have him continued on? WE are missing so many years/documents between VA and Ohio! There was a JAMES SOLLARS, Ohio Civil war that may show birth info.(could he be son of James1796?) There was an Albert Sollars in 1930 IN ? I kinda wondered if brother of EMMA instead of husband. I kinda wonder if Albert I. = Albert Ignatius? Sorry, can't Add to your info. Keep in touch. Thanks, marie, iowa -----Original Message----- From: Robert C. Thanks Bob, sure hope I gave you something you didn't have...
