GEORGIA, good idea. My Ancestry is Not working good today, so can't check out somethings I would like. But, from what I already have posted, Bing Sellers 1851, son of Isaac is NOT on 1870 census, etc. And Isaac is living with John in 1870 Perry Co, OH. EMORY SELLERS parents are kinda hard to follow, whether born in PA or OH, unless we had an obit from? Many documents here in Perry Co, OH and several proven, But, Not to the early SELLERS. ISAAC SELLERS 1769= JOHN SELLERS 1780 HENRY SELLERS 1790 DAVID SELLERS 1790 , I quess is earliest I can see now? Same or two Sellers families, don't know. Think so. Franks info does help us Prove some families. Thanks for ideas. good marie, iowa =========== -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Georgia L. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Sellers, Sellars Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.sellers/2212/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I believe that William was my 3 x great grandfather, and there seems to be a christening for him on the IGI on 3 January 1806 at Market Raisen (not sure if I've spelled this correctly), with parents being William and Mary. If anyone has access to this parish record, I would appreciate a lookup to hopefully find out the occupation of William's father and any other information that might happen to be recorded. I'm not sure if this baptism was before the printed registers came into force, but any information at all would be very welcome. Many thanks in anticipation. Janice
Thanks, Georgia. I didn't find that one. Gracie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Georgia L. I am taking it easy. Dating after a 50 year gap is rather unique. I was "fixed up" by the office ladies for firm's Christmas party. Sellers I am searching for information pertaining to Thomas M. Sellers who was born June 1840 in Tennessee, possibly the son of Sam W. Sellers who was noted as head of household in Jefferson County, Tennessee, in 1860 census records. Thomas M. Sellers is believed to have married twice. His first wife was Letta/Lottie/Lotta/Lotte Bailey and with her he had several children including: Mary C. Sellers who married J. J. Case; Sarah Rosella Sellers who married Samuel H. Maston; and Addie Letis Sellers who married and A. J. Kerr. Thomas M. Sellers' second wife was Sarah Ellen. Little information is known about Sarah, including her last name. According to 1900 Jefferson County census records, she was born about 1851, had four children, all of whom were still living in 1900, she had been married to Thomas about 10 years, and it appears that three of her four children were born to a previous marriage. I descend through Sarah Rosella Sellers and Samuel H. Maston.
