    1. [Sehr] List mail not arriving
    2. > I wasn't getting list mail for a while so I went to the archives Dear listers, Our list server was out of commission for several days last week before last and over the weekend. It was a hard disk failing to load after the new server was installed and brought online. Tim, our trusty techie, got it taken care of and now it's working fine. However, much mail is still in the queue from while it was down. List mail may come out of order and this is why. ALSO: Currently, the archives are having the hiccups. It may appear that the messages are *not* arriving at the list archives, but rest assured they are there, but just invisible. Or so Tim tells us! It is a known problem and it is being worked on. For further updates, please check the *yellow box* at the help desk. Sharon, List Admin

    1. [Sehr] from LISTMOM
    2. Welcome to the Sehr/Seher mailing list! I am also researching this surname and I have several records of births, deaths, & marriages from Hessen, Germany. I have recently posted most of these to the SEHR Rootsweb Boad. Here is the new (and outrageous!) URL: I have two Barbara Sehrs as my third great grandmothers. Both from the state of Hesse and the small towns of Hadamar & Neiderzeuzheim, formerly in the Duchy of Nassau. One, Anna Barbara, was born in 1770 in Neiderzeuzheim, married to Lorenz Kaiser in 1795 and died in 1851 in Hadamar. The other I very little information on. Her name was Barbara Sehr/Seher and she married to Johann Weis. They had a daughter, Elisabetha in 1808 in Hadamar. Elisabetha married one of the sons of Lorenz & Barbara (Sehr) Kaiser I have seen many instances where the name is spelled both with and without the second 'e' in the same record! I'd be interested in the lines that are being researched by our listmembers. Currently there are only three of us! Sharon, ListMom for SEHR, WEIS, WIERMAN and MARIPOSA, CO., CA lists Board Administrator for SEHR, SEHER, WEIS, OHLENSCHLAGER, WIERMAN, WIREMAN, & WEIRMAN
