James m Mary CRONK on 29 Jun 1822 in Bremen NJ - both are listed as from Jersey City. By the 1840 census, they had relocated to Wayne Co NY near the town of Savannah. In 1849 Rev Jim bought land in Barry Co MI & moved there. His son, Jim Jr., followed with his family to Barry Co abt 1862. James Sr had at least two brothers - Joshua & Stephan. Joshua was b abt 1789 & d Jul 1949. His wife was Susan M. ? and they lived in Jersey City bef moving to Warren Twp, Somerset Co, NJ. Stephen is supposedly quoted in a book titled "The First Presbyterian Church of Jersey City, NJ, Historical Discourses" by Charles K. Imbrie. John d abt 1832 and his wife was listed as Joanna. rom other sources, her name was Joanna GRUMMOND/GRUMMON. Also, there is a book I do not have access to but that could explain a lot to me.
