We have an inscription for this woman on a family bible saying Thorpe Hall. However, there is no record of the Seaman's ever having lived there. There is also no Sarah SEAMAN living in Thorpe on the 1851 census. On the same bible but in different writing is pencilled 'great aunt'. We also have old recipe books handed down in the family which have her name. So far all the rest of the family come from the St. Pancras, Middlesex area. Any help would be appreciated. I have several references for the name Seaman in Norwich and Norfolk if anyone is interested. Gill Blanchard gblanchard@whitwellresearch.demon.co.uk
