    1. [SEAMAN-L] (W) Va Seamans

    3. On the 1810 Monongalia Co., Va. census there are two Seamans I can't identify: James Seaman, who had two sons under 10, one between 10 and 16 and he was between 26 and 45. He also had one child under 10 and a female between 26 and 45. John Seaman was between 26 and 45 and in his house there were 2 daughters under 10 and a female between 10 and 25. I found a John Seaman in Court Records in Monon. County who was referred to as a stonecutter. I believe this was "Stonecutter John" who went to Adams County, Ohio and had a son called Franklin. I wonder if James was the son of Obadiah Seaman, son of Thomas and Philadelphia (Titus) Seaman, Quakers. Can anyone help on these little mysteries? Marilyn in San Diego
