I have just signed up to SEAMAN-L and have just started researching my Seaman line as I knew this would be the most difficult. I am now living in New Zealand and have to rely mostly on the internet. There is a an LDS FHC here but the resources are limited. My father is Joseph Lorin Seaman Jr, he was abandon by his parents at age nine and grew up in the circus, so only has limited knowledge of his family. He was born in the Bronx 11/3/29. His father was Joseph Lorin Seaman we believe was born in MT Vernon New York in 1898. He had two brothers, Robert born around 1923 and Richard born 6 October 1925 and died 21 Sept 1995. Joseph was married to a Mohawk Indian whose name was Senatani (not sure of spelling) She was born on the resevation near Albany New York in 1896 or 7. She was taken in by a vaudeville family called Ziegler (spelling) and her name was changed to Miriam. I know this is not much to go on. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone???
