I don't know how I missed this but GenealogyLibrary.com has the SEMANS family history on line! The Seamans Family in America Author: John Julian Lawton Call Number: CS71.S438 This is the family headed by Thomas SEAMANS [note the final "s"] of Swansea, Massachusetts. However, many of these SEAMANS deleted the final "s" and get intermingled with the Long Island SEAMAN family in upstate New York, Ohio, Missouri, and Kansas. Sometimes it helps to find an unconnected SEAMAN in this book which makes you reasonably confident that it is NOT one of the Long Island SEAMAN family line. There is a charge for accessing the service provided by Family Tree Maker but I have found that my reduced costs for trips to the various genealogical libraries has more than made up for the $100 per year subscription fee!
