Lydia MOTT? I have for some time suspected them as the parents of my long-lost ancestor Gilbert SEAMAN (1785-1821), War of 1812 Vet, who m. Hester JARVIS (1788-1837). Giles SEAMAN (1748-1827) was a son of Giles and Letitia (ONDERDONCK) SEAMAN of Long Island & Westchester Co., NY. The only child I have been able to find documented thus far of the Giles SEAMAN (1748-1827) & Lydia MOTT family (they married out of unity) is a daughter, Letitia Mott SEAMAN (b. ca. 1787 Westchester) who m. Elisha CARPENTER (15 Nov 1786-12 May 1863), son of Jonathan and Esther (COLES) CARPENTER. John "Searching for Gilbert in All the Wrong Places" Stewart
