Hi Listers, this is great for looking for names in the middle of big pages of text...using the 'find' key. I hadn't figured this out yet, so thought there might be others who don't know about using this tool, either. Linda Seaman -----Original Message----- From: Rita [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, January 30, 2003 10:17 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [WauShaOcon-L] Good Search Tool When faced with a large internet page of text and just wanting to find a certain surname or key word quickly, here is what I do to save time and patience: * Set the screen at the beginning of the page of text. * Click "Edit" on the tool bar at the top of your screen. * Click "Find" in the drop down menu. * Type the surname or key word into the search "pop up box". * Click the "Find" button on the search "pop up box" and it will quickly scroll down to highlight the first entry of your search word, for you to read. * Continue to click the "Find" button on the search "pop up box" for further word entries until it says "No more found". Hope this helps those who where unfamiliar with this time saving tool. Rita - Oconto County WIGenWeb Coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~wioconto
