    1. [SEAMAN-L] Levittown
    2. Lindsey Ottman
    3. Found the following book at the Ferguson Library in Stamford, CT: "A Legacy for Levittown" by Claire T. Ellis, copyright 1965, printed by the Vocational Offset Lithography Shop at Division Avenue High School. Union Free School District 5, Levittown, NY. The book especially caught my eye because it has the Seaman coat of arms on the cover. It contains a great deal of info on Capt. John Seaman and family, including maps of land holdings and info about the Jones Beach land dispute. Lindsey Ottman NYC, NY

    1. [SEAMAN-L] Edward Seaman
    2. Looking for an Edward Seaman that was married to a Catharine ?. They probably lived in the New York City area. They had a son named Alonzo Duretto Seaman, born in 1816, and a daughter named Letitia Seaman. Alonzo married Mary Armstrong in the Stanton Street Baptist Church in New York City on Feb. 22, 1838. Letitia was born abt. 1811 and married Edward Ogden. Letitia died in New Orleans on June 23, 1841. Alonzo was possibly raised by other family members when his mother (or parents) died while he was young. Anybody know anything about any of these people?

    3. Normally, I don't pay much attention to the virus messages because of all the hoaxes. However, this one is "for real" and I thought we all should be forewarned. There is a very destructive virus going around called ExploreZip.worm. It is distributed via Email and the message looks like this I received your email and I shall send you a reply ASAP. Till then, take a look at the attached zipped docs. Under no circumstances open the ZIP file. The attached file is not a Zip file, it just looks like it. It is zipped_files.exe which will destroy files with extensions .c, .cpp, .h, .asm, .doc, .xls, or .ppt For more info on this virus see http://www.avertlabs.com/public/datafiles/valerts/vinfo/va10185.asp Carolyn Mussina Seaman Kinderhook, NY <gregseaman@berk.com>
