I sent out a query yesterday with the title of Catherine H. SEAMAN but then called her Elizabeth in the body of the message. Elizabeth is WRONG - it should be Catherine. Listers: In the Court of Common Pleas in 1775 Morristown, New Jersey, the Case of The King vs. Mary Semon, "The Mother of Anne Doughty posted security for her appearance." I am still looking for the relationship and this could be a clue: In the Westbury Meeting Quaker records the marriage of Anne Seaman (daughter of David and Temperance) to Isaac Doughty (Doty) is noted. There were several Doughtys in early Morristown. Anne Seaman Doughty rushed to the court and bailed out a Seaman. Which David Seaman was her father? Willets Seaman, son of David and Mary Willets, was established in Morristown in the Blacksmithing business with an Obediah Seaman by 1772. Willets would be about 31 at that time. Micah, his younger brother was there, too. Was scofflaw Mary Seaman the one mentioned in David, jr.s Will of 1759? In other words, Willets' sister? Willets married yet another Mary. Either Scofflaw Mary was my ancestor or his sister. Any solutions to my little mystery?
