    3. Hi, Wilson HURLEY served in Co. B, 1st Tennessee Cavalry. Both him and his wife, Eliza, appears to have filed for a pension, but did not get accepted for some reason. The information that you need to obtain his pension record, if you don't have it already, is as follow's: Invalid Application No.: 502,475 Widow's Appliction No.: 714,394 Since soldier's often enlisted with other family members, you may want to try and obtain the following pension record. Robert HURLEY served in both Company A, 4th Tennessee Infantry, and Co. A, 1st Tennessee Cavalry. One of his minor's, Becky HURLEY, filed for a Minor's benefit pension, but it doesn't look like she received a pension either because there was no certificate issued. The information needed to obtain this record is as follow's: Minor's Application No.: 865,554 Becky filed for a minor's benefit pension on February 18, 1907 in Tennessee. Hope this helps. 3. Hi Everyone, I received this notice this morning. Please read. Norma From Rootsweb List Admin: Starting today (Monday, 6/10) and extending over several days, RootsWeb is going to be moving the list servers and other machines. No messages sent are expected to be lost, but the lists will be down for a while when it happens; please don't post "why aren't I getting mail" during that time.....you will when it comes back up, and you don't want half of it to be everyone on the list asking why aren't they getting mail. <g> If you have trouble reaching other RW servers this week, it's probably for the same reason; try again in an hour or two or three..... 3. Beth, I checked the 1870 Owsley Co. census and George M. is there. This is the annotated census by Robert L . Smith. He has it noted that George is no on the 1860 census. I'm assuming you mean the George M. Baker that married Jane Gabbard? That's the one I found. Norma At 01:55 PM 5/29/2002 -0400, you wrote: >Norma, > >I lost your email address. 3. Hi Everyone, It looks like this is going to be a long slow weekend. Every list I'm on has come to a screeching halt today. So....on this special weekend of Memorial Day, honoring our deceased service men and women, I thought I would invite you all to post a tribute to an ancestor who has gone to his/her eternal resting place. It doesn't matter which war they served in. Or what side they were on. Just so they were from SE-Kentucky.
