I am seeking the descendants of the William Turner b 1763, son of John Turner and Jean Neil becuase I want to test their DNA looking for a match which might give us the parents of our William. Our Wiliam seems to have moved into the Berwickshire area from elsewhere. The William born 1763 to John and Jean is the best match for the birth date. Until now there has been no way of linking our William to any of the other Williams born in Scotland- but now with DNA testing we can do it. As it happens our family's DNA is very distinctive- so if we find a match with this other Wiliam's descendatns that will prove he is ours. I will contact you off list since we are obvioulsy related.
