You believe they were in Turner Co, SD (which is what the board you posted to covers)? Our Turners are the Turner family for which Turner Co is named: John W. Turner (Father Turner) and his brothers Peter, Don Carlos & William settled there. While our William (1809-1888) did live in Turner Co, his father was John Turner (b1766 in CT) and grandfather was John Turner (b1735 in CT). So I don't see a connection at least on the face of it.
