Since the time when the emigration wave reached the northwestern part of Germany (Ostfriesland) many people left their homeland to go west onto the other side of the Atlantic. The newspaper "Ostfriesische Nachrichten"/"Ostfriesen Zeitung" was published by Rev. Lübke Hündling in Breda, IA and later in Wall Lake, IA between 1882 and 1971. During this time period the newspaper was sent all over the U.S. and to Germany (Ostfriesland). This volume 5 include more than 2,620 names of deceased with personal data (dates, places, names of aprox. 8,000 relatives, etc.). Evaluated were the obituaries a n d the local news in the "Ostfriesische Nachrichten" for the years between 1922 and 1926, not just the obituaries. Interesting stories about this period are included in the original version (German language for the German readers). The volume in a 'comb binding system' has X/228 pages and a map of the old homeland in the size of 8 1/2" x 11" Ordered books are non refundable.
