Looks like they moved to Idaho. 2/16/2004 Ruth Elizabeth DeWaard Ruth Elizabeth DeWaard, 82, of Nampa and Donnelly passed away peacefully at a Nampa hospital on Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004 at the Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 831 N. Main in Meridian. Pastor Doug Wilson, a nephew and pastor of the Bethel Church of the Nazarene in Nampa, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Meridian Cemetery. Friends may call at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. So., Nampa, on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The family will greet loved ones and friends at the funeral chapel on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Ruth was born on Feb. 24, 1921 in Roshalt, S.D., the daughter of Rev. Ernest and Matilda Coryell. She was the middle of nine children. While she was quite young the family moved to Olgivie, Minn. In the early 1930s the family moved to Meridian. She attended Meridian High School and there she met and fell in love wit! h her soul mate, Joe DeWaard. They were married on Dec. 6, 1940 and lived most of their married life with their three children at the dairy on Overland Road. Those were busy, happy years for Ruth, being involved with church, school, and community. After her children were older she worked as a typist for a tax consultant. She always wanted to learn new things so she enrolled in Links School of Business. Following her schooling she worked at the Bureau of Reclamation Central Snake River Office, the Irrigation Division, the Geology Division, and the Office of Property Procurement. She retired in 1979. In 1969 Ruth took on a new passion in her life, painting florals, landscapes and still life. Beautiful pictures flowed out of her fingertips, which she shared with so many people. In 1980 she and Joe built a beautiful retreat home in Donnelly on Cascade Lake. Joe passed away in November of 1981. She loved spending time at her Donnelly home and shared it so willingly with friends ! and family. Ruth was a longtime member of Valley Shepherd Church of th e Nazarene in Meridian and also attended Donnelly Bible Church. In her own words she wrote in June of 2002, ÒI was raised in a Christian home and I do not recall not ever believing in God, however when I was 25 years old, I made a commitment that would last me a lifetime. I found such a wonderful friend and helper in my life by accepting God as my Lord and Savior and I would recommend this to everyone if you desire a fulfilling life.Ó Ruth is survived by her children and their families: Bob and Dixie DeWaard, Renton, Wash.; and their children, Rachael (Tim) Greene, Ron (Tracey) DeWaard, Renae High, Rex DeWaard, Dave Bomba, and Donna (Chris) Zalusky; JoAnne and Lowell Rowley, Nampa; and their children, Kevin (Carolyn) Rowley, Karen (Lyle) Watson, Keith (Michelle) Rowley; Gordon and Ginger DeWaard, Federal Way, Wash.; and their children, Tracey (Joey) Weinkauf and Joey and Michael DeWaard; 20 great grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Ruska, McCall; Joyce Law and Elaine Wilso! n, both of Meridian; two brothers, Wesley Coryell, Boise; and Melvin Coryell, in Arkansas; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Coryell; and two sisters, Dorothy Klett and Doryce Caulk. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Trinity Pines c/o the Intermountain District Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 1159, Nampa, Idaho 83653. Hope that helps, Barbara Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [SDTURNER] Emil Peterson
    2. To one and all I am looking for any information on Emil Peterson, brother of my grandfather Fred Helmer Peterson. He was believed by my mother (deceased) to have lived in Beresford, SD. According to my mother when Fred died of TB 27 Dec. 1917 in his home in Sioux City, Iowa. Emil came down for the services and brought a brace of SQUARRIL which he gave to my grand mother Pearl. She being a city girl had no ideas what to do with them so they went into the trash. Yours in Hope, Joseph Tattersall.

I would be interested in your connection to Fredricksens through the Flygers/Larsens as you originally posted. The only connection the Larsens would have would be by Mary C. A. was brother to Kersten Marie Fredericksdatter who was the second wife of Johan Ludvig Flyger. So, JLP Flyger married his step mother's brother's daughter. What is your connection to these people.
