Hello I'm trying to locate any information on-- and descendants of-- Seth GURDY who lived at Wall, SD around the turn of the century. He was born in IA, to Cyrus Gurdy (who was born in NH). Seth was raised in IA, served in the Civil War, moved to Wall, SD and died in Bell, CA I am compiling a book about him--he is a very, very distant relative, but I have 36 of his Civil War letters which I wish to compile into a book for regional history interest. I am also seeking a photograph of him. I'd deeply appreciate any additional information on him, and wish to locate descendants.
