Olson, 98, Rapid City, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at a local nursing home. Pearl was born June 1, 1902, in Deerfield, Minn., to Ole and Annie (Graftaas) Blastervold. She attended schools in Minnesota and married Ted Olson on Jan. 20, 1924. The couple lived in Canada, Owatonna, Minn., and Austin, Minn., before moving to Rapid City in 1948. Pearl worked for many years at St. John¹s Hospital and was a member of the Red Cross Volunteers, Sons of Norway and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She is survived by one son, Roger Olson of Washburn, Iowa; three daughters, Dorothy Lofstuen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Sandra Antijunti and her husband, Norm, and Ruth Schumacher and her husband, LeRoy, all of Rapid City; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; a daughter, Beverly Ann; and four sons, Richard, Don, Robert and Ted. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home in Rapid City. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the funeral home, with Elder Ivera Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City. A memorial has been established.
