You have the right John Noble, unfortunately I know nothing more of him. The census that you mention was the last trace of him. I know not if he married, I have tried most of the John Noble marriages for Ontario to no avail. I am just now finishing the William Noble branch {John's brother} plus I have some info regarding his other siblings but not complete. The parents, John & Martha were both born in Ireland, all of the children were born in Ontario, Canada. Religion was Church of England {Anglican}. Some of John's siblings later changed to Methodist {if you can believe the census}. None of the male children had a middle name as far as I know, though most of the girls did. I turned to SD because of a rumor from some older family members, claiming that we had relatives that settled in the Black Hills. I am still hoping that he may turn up in the 1901 census transcription project, still in progress. Thanks again for responding. Bill
