Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wdB.2ACE/372.2 Message Board Post: I live in Rapid City, I am a local historian and I would defintely say I would have heard a story of 18 Army Solders in a Barracks on Rapid Creek being killed by Indians in Nov 1876, Rapid City existed and we have stories of events of that time and no such story have I heard. We have a book by Annie Tallent who was in Custer at the time and reports events such as this, she doesn't mention that name at all. I first of all don't think there was a Soldiers Barracks on Rapid Creek, ever. Where did you get this story?
