I know that he just in the last two years place a head stone on his grandmothers grave, some where around Rapid City.

I was wondering if you could provide me with further information on Lawrence Suckow and perhaps about the Suckow farm as well? Really would appreciate it.

I can read it again and see if I can find any info you need. I do know that Pete married Grace Davis and that there were children named, Ray,Margaret (maggie) and Chauncey. Ray becam a Dr. in Rapid City, SD, but Chauncey was killed at a young age when the horse he was riding fell. I don't recall reading that he had a first wife before he married Grace. Pete died in June, 1961. Petes daughter, Maggie Warren, wrote this book about her folks etc.

I have not heard of a "Civil Bend", but since Elk Point is virtually between NE & IA in the southeast tip of SD, you might also need to look in those states. A good SD map should show all counties. Go to Google--enter Elk Point, SD & it will give you information on Elk Point. Hope this will help. Lorraine

    3. Hi List, I am trying to find out more about my great uncle CARL SCHNEIDER, who emigrated to the States in 1913, 16 hrs of age. He later married GENEVA SHEEDY, they had a daughter VIVIAN GERTRUDE, born about 1921. They are on the 1930 Census in Minnehaha, Sioux Falls, SD. Later they must have moved to Pennington. Carl SCHNEIDER died 19.Oct 1980 in Pennington SD.Their last residence in 1980 was Rapid City, South, 803 Joy St, Rapid City, Pennington,SD. Carl was born in Reutlingen, Wuerttemberg,Germany in March 1897. I have his death cert.where his wife's address is 616 St Cloud, Rapid City.SD. The Funeral home is/was Oshiem-Catron Funeral Home in Rapid City. Is there still any other information out there where I could find his wife and his daughter and poss more children? Any help is very much appreciated. I just would love to more about all his life over there. Thank you. Angie NZ
