Dated Sunday, August 7, 1966 Rites Set for S. F. Fireman Verl E. Harvey, member of the Sioux Falls Fire Department for 17 years, died Saturday noon at a local hospital following an extended illness. He was 46. His residence was 2505 S. Glendale Ave. Final rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Methodist Church. Burial will be at Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Miler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Harvey was born Nov. 16, 1919, at Valley Springs. He was married to Maxine Pike at Pipestone, Minn., on Aug. 28, 1954. On July 11, 1949, Mr. Harvey joined the Sioux Falls Fire Department. He was promoted to chauffeur- engineer on July 1, 1963. Survivors are the widow; five daughters, Mrs. James Luce and Mrs. Don Foster, Sioux Falls; Judy, Vivian and Susan, at home; four grandchildren; three brothers, Lee and Bob, Sioux Falls, and Lyle, Willmington, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Falor, Sioux Falls, and Mrs. O. C. Telley, San Diego, and mother, Mrs. Lowell Harvey, Sioux Falls.
