Dated Thursday, September 21, 1967 Belmont Nielsen Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church for Belmont J. Nielsen, 52, of Rt. 3. Mr. Nielsen died in a local hospital Wednesday. He was born July 26, 1915, at Cozad, Neb. The family moved to Denmark in 1921 and returned to the United States in 1928, settling in the Flandreau area. He was graduated from Egan High School. He had lived in the Sioux Falls Vicinity since 1935 and was engaged in farming. He married LaVonne Pike on Dec. 31, 1943. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Gary, Trinidad, Colo.; Chris, Sioux Falls; three daughters, Karen, Deborah and Patricia, all of Sioux Falls; his mother, Mrs. Alfred Miller, Denver, Colo., and a sister, Mrs. Talwin Ruttum, Salida, Colo.
