The local man is Jon Hansen, 24, of 2900 Poplar Drive. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell C. Hansen, operators of a bus company. Jon Hansen has been vice president of Jack Rabbit Lines, Inc. Hansen was a passenger in a plane which encountered sever weather. The pilot was Robert J. Warfield, Jr, West Palm Beach stock broker. The plane was scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m. Monday at Palm Beach from Wess End, Grand Bahama Island, normally a 30-minute flight. Coast Guard units were summoned to begin a search. Hansen left Sioux Falls on June 26 for a fishing trip to the Bahamas. His wife remained in Sioux Falls. He joined his father-in-law, Joseph T. O'Neill, and the latter's son, Joseph O'Neill, II, both of Palm Beach. The trio had been in the Bahamas for approximately 10 days. Hansen was enroute to the mainland to make connections for a flight home. The O'Neills reached the Florida mainland two hours later in another plane to learn that the other craft was missing. In 1966, Hansen was graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder. In 1965, Hansen departed on a 108-day college-at-sea world educational tour. Hansen has a brother, Lowell Jr., residing at Jackson Hole, Wyo. Hansen was born Jun 6, 1944, in Sioux Falls. He is a 1962 graduate of Washington High School. He is a member of the Lions Club, Jaycees, Elks, Minnehaha Country Club and Yawn Patrol Toastmasters Club. Argus Leader Tues., Jul 9, 1968 Thanks to Clair Grant for the article
