Dated Thursday, April 6, 1992 Wm. M. Mathers After a short illness death claimed William M. Mathers, living 11 miles west of Sioux Falls at 8: 30 o’clock this morning. In his death one of the oldest early day pioneers of eastern South Dakota has gone. Mr. Mathers had been a resident of this part of the state for the past 51 years and several years ago went into the country to visit his son and was taken ill. He was 85 years old. Surviving their father are seven sons, William, John, and Charley of Hartford, Henry and August Of Sioux Falls, Andrew of Kansas and George of Ellis and two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Willig of Hartford and Mrs. Sophia Freese of Clayton, S.
