D, Pharmacist Dies at Sioux Falls Hospital Harry M Kuhns, 61, 413 South Duluth ave., veteran South Dakota pharmacist, died at a local hospital at 8:20 oclock last night after being stricken with a heart attack late yesterday afternoon. He was taken to the hospital at 5 oclock. Mr. Kuhns had been employed as a pharmacist at the Dunning Drug Co. immediately prior to his death. Previously he had worked at the Independent Drug Co. and the Dow Drug Co. after coming to Sioux Falls in 1942. Born at Kilimore, Ind, August 28, 1888, he came to Sioux City in 1905. A year later he moved to Canistota where he entered the drug business. Before coming to Sioux Falls, he was in the drug business at several South Dakota towns, including seven years at Beresford and 18 years at Pukwana. He was married to Nellie Snider at Lincoln, Nebr., August 24, 1916. He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. A. D. Roberts, Washington, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Schaller, Sioux Falls, Mrs. R.C. Waters, Weslaco, Tex., Mrs. C. M. Jewell, Los Angeles, and Mrs. M. W. H9ockett, Indianapolis, and one grandchild. Mr. Kuhns was a 33rd degree Mason and a member of the Lions club. The Miller funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
