My ancestors include Foster & Elizabeth (nee PEART) Phillips of Flandreau. I have a lot of Pearts, also Russells that lived in this area. Just wondering. Thanks Pat.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/0gB.2ACI/248.3.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Marilyn, I took a look at your information on Harry Peart. It doesn't seem to tie into all my Peart research. Most of my Pearts were around Moody County (Flandreau area). Other related Pearts were coal miners and farmers, starting out in Ohio (Zanesville area, immigrating about 1853). Three brothers and one apparent cousin migrated then to Grundy Co., Illinois, about 45 miles southwest of Chicago (Coal City--makes sense--coal miners). One brother stayed there. My Thomas and Jane (nee Fletcher) PEART migrated then to Moody County, S.D. about 1883. Another brother, Jeremiah took his clan to Oregon, via Iowa. However, you do have my curiosity surrounding the Jane PEART death of 1917 in Davison County (MItchell area). I don't know if she is the same Jane as my Jane Peart. Since 1883 Jane (nee Fletcher--b 1840) and Thomas Fletcher (b May 1834) lived in Moody County. I have found their 1910 census, but have not found their 1920 census enumeration. So I am not sure what happened to them after 1910--Thomas being 66 and Jane being 60. So I will keep your notes on Harry H. Peart for further research. Again, thank you so much for taking time to research my question. You helped me on my BADEN's who tried to homestead west of Mitchell (actually, west of Parkston) about two years ago?. Since then with the census data coming on line, I've gotten a lot of information that is starting to tie things together, considerably. Thanks Pat.
