They had an auction barn North of Sioux Falls on Hwy 77 just before you get to Midway Corner. I think the Church would be in Baltic, SD. Mr. Sluiter died not too long ago - maybe a year.

SD Births site has many SIMON(S) births including Carl August SIMON, b. 16 Oct. 1902, Turner County, s/o Frederick SIMON & Louisa HEINZ. Does that fit? Grave Records of Minnehaha County, SD: WINKEL, Dick (16 Mar. 1886 - Mar. 1974) & Kattie (1889 - 1951), bu. Dell Rapids Cem., D.R., D.R. Twp., Sec. 4. It would be easier to try to find the information on a specific couple with approximate dates, and the name of the county if you know it, or were all of Minnehaha County?

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0gB.2ACI/301.1 Message Board Post: Sorry, the Sioux Valley Genealogical Society's 1982 edition of Grave Records of Minnehaha Co. Cemeteries has nobody named either SULIER, MELOCHE, or MOLASH. Sometimes the death certificate indicates the place of burial. Do you have her death certificate? Where did Ellen SULIER MOLASH die? FamilySearch lists many children of Francis O. MELOCHE & Ellen SULIER, supposedly born in Monroe Co., MI, but if they were on the 1880 Census there, they must have been under another spelling. SD Births has birth of Paul MOLASH, b. 19 Oct. 1898, Spink Co., s/o James MOLASH & Johanna PETRAK. SSDI shows that a Paul MOLASH b. 19 Oct. 1898, had SSN issued in Wisconsin, & he d. July 1979, last res. & last benefits, Hettinger & Mandan, ND. History of Lyman County, SD, says that the town of Kennebec is built on land once belonging to Frank MOLASH, grandfather of Mrs. Harry CASLIN. Frank lived in the oldest house in Kennebec, later owned by the QUILLIN brothers. In 1930, Lyman Co. database of the census showed Harry CASLIN & Eva, both b. ca. 1892, & Donald, b. ca. 1916. SSDI has Harry CASLIN (21 Apr. 1891 - 13 Apr. 1979, last res. Kennebec) & Donald (5 S 1915 - 3 Nov. 1976), & others but not Eva. You could try to find more about Susan MOLASH REARICK (1872 - 1946). See USGenWeb > SD > Lyman County. BLM land patents: Frank MOLASH in Lyman Co., 105 - 75, 17 NE (west half), NW (east half). There was an earlier patent in Brule Co. for Frank MOLASH, 1889, 101 - 69, 18 NW. Adolphus MOLASH & family were of Butte Co., SD, in 1930. Can you think of other clues?

In it there is this biography under "The Frank Domans." Franklin (Frank) Doman and Mary Jane (Mel Scott) Doman were married in McClure County, Bloomington, Ill. They came to the Larchwood, Iowa-Valley Springs vicinity with two sons, Orville (Felix) and Roy. They first settled around Larchwood farming the land. They later homesteaded the land 4 1/2 miles south of Valley Springs. Charley Doman was born after coming to South Dakota. They farmed there until retiring when Roy Doman purchased the farm and is now owned by Donald Doman and Marie (Doman) Bennett. Orvy married Lillian Mullenby and was a barber in Madison, S.D., later moving to California where he and Lillian died. He had five children--Leonard, Gene, Dorothy, Zita and Genevieve and all live in California, except Gene who died. Roy married Alice Gibson and lived in South Dakota all his life. Mavis, Marie and Donald were his children. They are married and live near Sioux Falls, Valley Springs and Beaver Creek, Minn. Charley died while in service of World War I. He was stationed at Brookings, S.D. The American Legion Post 131 is named after him. As a grandmother I have a lot of fond memories with my grandparents. Written by Mavis Doman Clark

Surnames: Hacker Hubner Aleck Henderson Lode Mueller Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0gB.2ACI/295 Message Board Post: I am looking for information about my birth mother's family. I don't have any surnames to go on right now. Here is what I have found: My birth mother was dating my birth father, Acie Aleck. She was 17 years old when I was born and was a sophomore in high school, her name is Barbara. Barbara's father was a meat inspector and worked at John Morrells. I am told that Acie also worked there. I was born in May 1953. About 3 months before I was born, Barbara told her parents that she was pregnant with me. After hearing this, her mother got up set, got in a car, drove away and was killed in an accident, she was 36 years old when she died. Barbara's father caused a lot of trouble for my birth father, Acie. I think that Barbara's mother's accident could have happened in March 1953 or possibly February 1953. It has been difficult for my birth mother to talk about her family and I don't want to up set her by pushing her for information. I think after I was born she quit goi! ng to school. Her father forced her to give me up for adoption 4 months after I was born. I got to meet with her this summer and talk with her for the first time. Could somebody find out her maiden name, her parents names and obituaries? I would also like to have a copy of any news paper articles there may be on Barbara's mother's fatal car accident. Barbara's family was of Irish and Scotish origins. Barbara is married to Louis Hubner. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You
