It is of Wilson M. Dent and Chief Long Claws and his wife on the Lower Brule Indian Reservation. My Aunt, Florence Boudrou Emme had copied the picture in the early 1960's. She was born and raised in Chamberlain, S.D. Let me know what's the best way to post it or email it to you.

    3. Looking for anyone who can help me with any information through census ect. for John Albert Bidwell. John and his wife Mary Ann moved near Iona in 1900 with at least their daughter Juliana Estella Bernice Bidwell. Don't know if there was more children. John Albert Bidwell was b. Paris, Hill???? and Mary Ann Mc???? was b. Orilla, Ontario, Canada. Julina married Alvin Wesley Buchtel of Lyman County Feb. 22, 1908 To this union was born four daughters and two sons. Mrs. Bernard (Ida) Nelson, Mrs. Myrtle Brumbaugh, Mrs. William (Beryl) Durham, Mary (Kranig), Alvin (Happy) Buchtel, and Leroy Buchtel. Juliana died Aug. 5, 1931, in Platte Sd. Her mother was by her side but she apparently had remarried and was living back in Canada as she is listed as Mrs. Lillie from Arnid, Sask, Canada. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My ggrandfather, Wilson M Dent was "boss farmer for the United States Indian Service at the Lower Brule Indian School, then located southh of the present site of Oacoma." His wife was Laura Ann Bailey. Somewhere i have a small photo of a team of horses in from of a sod house with an Indian Chief identified as "Chief Long Claws". Let me know if you would like me to scan it and post it or send it.

William GAMMON filed on a homestead twenty miles west of Oacoma.
