Check out the following websites. When I looked at the LBGS website I noticed a Walker named as a landowner in the early 1900's, maybe that would be where the family plot is located. I have info from the 1920 cenus on the family I think there was another son named William.. I grew up knowing about Lillian , Vera but not anything about Pinta, and George and William, Trying to find out more on her first husband who name I think was Robert James Lanyon. I think her maiden name was Ella Gertrude Allison. I might have to go into the Missouri or Illinois site because that is where the other girls were born. Looking at the land records and homestead records tells me that George actually lived in what is now Jones county. There is a WW1 Draft Registration for George Hammond. Also on ancestry.com I found marriage dates for George H, Hammond and Ella Gertrude Lanyon, June 21, 1914, Lyman County. I found him in the 1910 and 1920 census, but couldn't find any of them in 1930. Check out the genweb sites for Jones and Lyman counties, http://usgenweb.com/ , but there isn't much for Hammond. This was just a short check of ancestry.com, our genealogy website and the county genweb sites. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
