He just received the History of Pringle in the mail, from the post office. It says that the Pringle family came here from Iowa on May 16, 1886. Mr. Pringle died a few years later leaving his widow and two children, Charles and Myrtle (Mrs. Joe Conlon). I can not place this family with my tree. I only have one family from Iowa in my tree, and no information on the boys. Your John could be a brother of Mr. Pringle. I hope this helps.
