She was previously married to a man named Dixon, and Mary Dixon had at least one daughter, Lena Dixon, who appears on the 1910 Census as 16 years of age. Also listed in 1910 is Maud (Maude) Munson, age 5, and Harry, age 2. In 1920 Otto is listed as Arthur, and there are additional children, Gerald 9; Jessie 6; Delia 4 (Delia is listed as a male and a son). In 1930 Mary is a widow, head of household, and still living with her are Maude, Harry, Gerald, Jessie and Delia (who is now female and a daughter). Otto Munson was born Nils Otto Gustafsson, and changed his name, utilizing his father's surname after emigration from Sweden in 1872. He was a taxidermist, and managed the Nebraska telephone company for a time while living in Custer, South Dakota. His daughter Maude was a school teacher in the public schools in Custer, and his son Harry was an electrician. If anyone has any additional information on this family, or any descendants, please contact me.

I am seeking information on Stephen Hardy Neavill and wife Catherin Rose McCarthy. They married in 1891 and had children in Custer - for sure Richard Foster Neavill was born there in April of 1907. I am not sure when they died, but they died in Custer. Audrey

Posted on: Custer Co. SD Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/SD/CusterObits/10012 Surname: Dean, Harrison, Godsey, Dow, Winnie ------------------------- This family is unrelated to mine, but the obituary was in my grandmother's scrapbook. There is nothing to indicate what newspaper it came from. Obituary of Frances Dean Frances Dean was born in Richmond, Virginia, March 6, 1842, died in Buffalo Gap, October 15, 1918 at the age of seventy six years, six months and nine days. At the age of seventeen years she was married to James Harrison who lost his life in the Civil War, June 6, 1864. Two children were born of this union; Alice, who died in infancy and Mrs. S. J. Godsey of Custer. At the age of twenty-five years she married E. E. Dean who died July 9, 1906. Two children were born to this union; Mrs. J. K. Dow of Bakerville and Mrs. Freemont Winnie of Riverton, Wyoming. She also leaves nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren to mourn her loss. She united with the Baptist Church in early life and lived a consecrated christian. During her illness of almost three months her every thought was of her home in heaven as she had made her peace with God. Her last look was of peace and love for the children, which seemed to say, goodbye, meet me in Heaven. Dearest Mother, thou has left us, Here thy loss we deeply feel. But 'tis God that has bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. Yet again we hope to meet thee When the day of life is fledl Then in heaven with joy to greet thee, Where no farewell tear is shed. --Mrs. S. J. Godsey We wish to extend our sincere thanks to our friends and neighbors for the kindness and sympathy shown us during the illness and death of our beloved mother. Also for the beautiful floral offerings. Mrs. S. J. Godsey Mrs. J. K. Dow Mrs. Freemont Winnie
