    3. The old tuberculosis sanitarium at Sanator is now the Patrick Brady Academy, youth correction facility. I don't know where the sanitarium records are, but perhaps the SD Dept. of Health would have them, if they were kept. Lorraine Leslie Besmer Custer, SD

I found the state archives on the website http://www.sdhistory.org/ to be of some help. I understand the campus of the old sanitarium was being used as a school now. I tried writing to them to see if they knew who to contact regarding old sanitarium records, I did not get a response. Sorry I don't have more to offer. Good Luck.     3. If you want to see a photo of Horatio N. Ross, it is on http://www.sdsmt.edu/es/mining/nusl/hist/hist.html I know this isn't what you asked for, but it may be something you can use. I will check at the Custer Museum to see if there is any more information on Horatio N. Ross. There is a memorial to him in Way Park in Custer that I could take a photo of for you. Lorraine

I can only go as far as my gggrandfather. Hubert Edward Meyer born Germany abt. 1846 married Alice Davis born 1864 in Iowa. They were married abt. 1885. I found land information on Hubert, Vaughn, Edward and May M. in Buffalo Gap near Custer. I am not sure who May M. was. Hubert and Alice had 2 sons and one daughter Vaughn b. Apr. 1894 No info on Vaughn marriage death etc. Edward (My grandfather) born Dec. 9 1886 and died July 1, 1956. Susan born 1890. I have no info on Susan marriage death etc. My grandfather, Edward married Elizabeth May Johnson abt. 1916. Elizabeth born May 23 1896 Aurora county and died May 1 1977 in a rest home near Plankinton. I believe they are both buried in Plankinton. I have no family information on Elizabeth. Edward and Elizabeth had 6 sons. Clarence, died in Stickney Levi, died in Sterling Colorado Hubert, still living in Rapid City Henry, died in Watertown Edward died near Plankinton Howard my father died in Colorado Springs.
